TITLE:  An extraordinary, gazette, or the, disappointed politicians CALL NUMBER:  PC 1 - 5485 (A size) [P&P] REPRODUCTION NUMBER:  LC-USZ62-1516 (b&w film copy neg.) RIGHTS INFORMATION:  No known restrictions on publication. SUMMARY:  Print shows a group of British politicians sitting and standing around a table in a public house or club reading the latest news of a dispatch from General Henry Clinton possibly referring to his evacuation of Philadelphia in June 1778. On the wall in the background are maps of the English possessions in America, the first, a large map showing extensive holdings in 1762 when William Pitt was prime minister, and the second, a much smaller map showing reduced holdings filled with snakes in 1778. To the right is a picture of a mountain, "The mountain in labor", from beneath which emerges a mouse; several people standing around the mountain point to the mouse in amazement.
